Jack Burns graduated in 2024 with a BFA in Graphic Design and a Minor in Printmaking and English from Drake University in Des Moines, IA.
Originally from Chicago, IL, Jack has spent most of his life creating art. A pivotal moment in his career as an artist came during his sophomore year of high school, where he took his first printmaking class. This spurred a keen interest in printmaking, which he continued to take for the next 2 years of high school and 4 semesters in college, resulting in a printmaking minor. While printmaking is his favorite medium, he’s also created works in digital illustration, sculpture, drawing, painting and hand-drawn animation. His identity as a runner, writer, music & film lover, and friend have all influenced his artwork over the years.
